Rituals for and about Women

Are you a tradition keeper? Women have traditionally been the ones who have ritualized key moments in the family and gathered people together to support, to celebrate, or to honor someone. Maybe you have a friend who is fighting cancer, or a granddaughter who has become a woman, or a friend who has turned 60. Come learn how you can incorporate rituals for these occasions and much more, like birth, wedding, first day of school, friendship or divorce, into your life.

Life, Paint, and Passion

This is your opportunity to step out of self-judgment, control and fear and step into going with the flow in peaceful unfolding, trusting your inner voice, reclaiming your sense of what is authentic within you and strengthening your connection with Spirit. This program is based on Michele Cassou's book, Life, Paint and Passion: Reclaiming the Magic of Spontaneous Expression. Although it is a painting workshop, it is truly a much deeper exploration of the soul, being in the moment and trusting in something bigger than ourselves. No experience or talent with art is needed. . .Your soul will lead the way.

Book Discussion: "The Shack" by William Young

When "bad things happen to good people" what effect does this have on one's relationship with God? Writing Poetry from the Inside Out

Writing poetry can help connect with the Divine as it helps us center ourselves within the world around us. St. Thomas Aquinas said, "All knowledge begins in sensations." Poetry allows us to heal, reflect and meditate and in this workshop, we will explore poems rich in sensory experience that will invite you to participate not only with your imagination, but also with your hands, nose, mouth and ears.  All writing levels are encouraged to attend.

Become a Feminist - At Your Own Risk

Ask any feminist, woman or man, and they will tell you that the slightly adapted scriptural phrase, "The truth will set you free but first it will make you miserable." describes their experience.  To see the world through feminist eyes requires a paradigm shift that usually leads to a personal and social upheaval. This program is for women who have already begun this shift or feel it coming on.

The Fruitful Darkness - A Winter Retreat for Women

Winter's call is to a time of fruitful darkness. The earth lies at rest, seeds lie beneath the ground, waiting for their time to push upward.  This season beckons us to hibernate and be still, gather our energies inward, rest and reflect. This retreat will use the simple, accessible forms of InterPlay to explore the fruitful darkness through stillness, movement, stories and song. Come for a gentle and playful time to play and hang out with the unanswered questions in our lives with no need to find the answers now.   No prior experience of any kind is needed – just a spirit of willingness
